For: Despite being five years old this is still a handsome car with a six cylinder engine giving it good power (300hp) to enjoy driving. It accommodates four adults nicely and five in a pinch.  In typical Mercedes fashion driving this car will help you understand why it is one of the best selling luxury sedans in the world. It glides through the street delivering you in a cocoon of luxury. It’s refined elegance delivered with solid build qualities Mercedes had been known for.

Against: These cars are very common and if you are looking for something that is an attention getter this won’t be it.  Since it’s a five year old car finding one that is a Certified Pre Owned car by a Mercedes dealer isn’t likely and the ones that you could find will be a the higher end of the range quoted above.

Single Poor Man POV: The Mercedes brand certainly has cache but unless you absolutely need a sedan you might want to consider the coupe or convertible.

Married Poor Man POV: Four doors, automatic transmission, fits a child car seat, large number of vehicles with affordable pricing make it an easy sell to the Mrs. and she could also drive it if that means she will sign off on the purchase

Divorced Poor Man POV: One of the most affordable luxury sedans when bought preowned.  It should allow you to meet your financial commitments and if you have kids the back seat is accommodating.  Your bank account will be pleased with the added value of luxury car cache.

Curb Appeal: 7 out of 10…if you get the sport package…subtract a point if you don’t.

Bottom Line: Great car the money and there are plenty littered across dealer lots that should allow you to find great deals.  These cars are fairly reliable and capable of delivering odometer readings well over 100,000 miles.  Luxury cache for the same price of a new base model Camry! What’s not to like?
